GREY2K USA - Protecting Greyhounds Nationwide
About Us

Victories

At GREY2K USA, we don’t just talk about protecting greyhounds. We get results. Since our formation in 2001, our major achievements include:

Volunteers at the Yes on 3 Rally

  • Research conducted by GREY2K USA has led to the exposure of dozens of media documented cases of greyhound cruelty and neglect nationwide.

  • In two states, GREY2K USA passed the strongest laws in the country on greyhound recordkeeping. These laws require that dog tracks report on the number of greyhounds injured while competing and the ultimate fate of retired racers.

  • Since our formation in 2001, we helped defeat every major attempt to subsidize dog racing with other forms of gambling nationwide.

  • GREY2K USA led an all-volunteer signature gathering drive to place a question before Massachusetts voters to end dog racing. The Greyhound Protection Act will appear on the statewide ballot November 4, 2008.

  • In New Hampshire, GREY2K USA introduced and passed legislation to restore racing greyhounds to the state's anti-cruelty statute.

  • GREY2K USA passed into law the only state funded greyhound adoption program in the nation.

  • Since 2004, GREY2K USA has endorsed more than fifty greyhound friendly candidates, with a success rate of 82% on election day.

  • In 2008, GREY2K USA wrote and passed Question 3, a ballot question that ended dog racing in Massachusetts.

  • Fifteen tracks have closed or ended live dog racing in the last four years, and we mean to keep pusing!
